Marketing Campaign

Art director of a team made up of 18 students (one of eight) that worked on a marketing campaign with HBO Max mentors for a newly acquired HBO Max Pa’Lante! short film. Our team’s campaign was selected as the winning concept.

The film “Acuitzeramo” portrays a gap between the older and younger generations of the LGBTQ+ community, one that involves a lack of understanding and lack of communication. In the film, these two generations are mutually sharing the tragedy of death in the family, and are ultimately brought together by it, and sometimes “un abrazo”, a hug, is all it takes to bridge that multigenerational gap between them. We created a multi-platform advertising campaign that aims to bring these two communities together, and that celebrates the idea of pride that these separated groups share in common. We also aim to extend this hug to the more conservative communities, so they may learn to put their own pride aside and learn from these very communities and gain new perspectives.
